Pre-Admission Guidelines
The hospital provides several important recommendations for patients:
- Avoid wearing jewelry; remove all body piercings beforehand
- Leave valuables and money at home
- Do not bring laptops (hospital not responsible for lost or stolen phones)
- Bring a complete list of medications and allergies
- Hospital provides personal hygiene items
Advance Directive
An Advance Directive is a written statement of a person’s wishes regarding medical treatment. Its purpose is to ensure those wishes are carried out should a patient be unable to communicate them to a healthcare provider.
- Typically includes both Declaration and Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare
- Having both documents provides the strongest legal enforcement

Social Workers
Our social workers serve as patient advocates and advisors. Their functions include:
- Acting as patient advocates and advisors
- Assisting patients and answering family questions
- Managing crises and directing patients to appropriate resources
- Advising caregivers and counseling patients
- Planning post-discharge care and arranging aftercare services
